Day 1 - Things I Learned

Oh man.

Six things I learned/observed while at the gym this morning:

1. I am an out of shape girl.
2. Bring a water bottle with me next time.
3. Don't do 110 squats in 10 mins.
4. Don't eat 20 mins (especially eggs) before you work out.
5. I don't think my body is ready for working with a personal trainer yet. It's still trying to get used to going to a gym, LOL.
6. Don't leave iPod in the car, because I don't really care for watching about stocks for 45 mins.

I just want to say, not all pain is bad. But doing that many squats after doing..oh NONE in the last year or so...yeah. Hurts to even sit to pee! lol  I didn't care for the personal trainer. He just didn't seem...there. Yes, I'm a slightly pudgy white girl, but dude, I have lost 56 lbs since May. I'm not here because of a "New years resolution"...I started it mid-year...LAST YEAR! Anyway, I think I will wait on the personal trainer for awhile, and get my body used to the more frequent work outs. Because...that killed me today.

That being said--

I'm not giving up on this. I am very, very determined to do this. I have a lot of health issues in both sides of my family. Diabetes, heart problems--I don't want them affecting me. I want to be here for a long time; to watch my kids grow and become adults; to play with my grandchildren (when that time comes -- not for awhile I hope!); to enjoy life, and be happy with me and my health.

Anyway, that was day 1. Tomorrow, I plan on stopping at the one by work after work tomorrow for some cardio.
